There’s been plenty happening across our homes this week! From relaxing spa days to competitive bingo afternoons, residents have certainly had a fun-filled week. Let’s take a look at what’s been going on.
Remember, remember
Ahead of Remembrance Day, residents at Lisburne Court spent an afternoon working on some beautiful paintings of the Remembrance symbol, the poppy. Afterwards, everyone took part in a Remembrance quiz, followed by a sing-a-long.
A little bit of TLC
The ladies of Bruce Lodge had a lovely time enjoying a pamper session this week. Sometimes you just need to relax with a face mask, and it looks like they had a brilliant time doing just that!
22, two little ducks
The Bruce Lodge bunch had a great time playing a few rounds of bingo this week. Resident Joan was a worthy winner and celebrated her success with some delicious chocolate.
The fun and games didn’t stop there. Bruce Lodge also embraced some friendly competition with a few rounds of ring tossing!
Over at Lisburne Court, a few of the residents played snakes and ladders, then they spent the afternoon giving Toffee, the rabbit, plenty of hugs!
Bonfire night paintings
Residents at Bamford Close got themselves ready for Bonfire Night by painting some lovely pictures. The initial theme for their paintings was fireworks, but everyone’s creativity took over and they went bold with colour! Take a look at newfound friends, Betty and Marlene, finding their inner artists.
Sweet treats
After all the fun and games, it was time to relax with a few delicious treats. Lisburne Court organised an afternoon of marshmallow, chocolate and apple stick-making. It looks like they all really enjoyed it!
Live performances
To celebrate Bonfire Night, residents at Wellcroft enjoyed a live performance from singer, Debbie. Here’s a lovely image of a few of the residents getting their groove on!
