This week at Borough Care – musical performances & card games

By 25 October 2021Borough Care News

This week, residents across our homes have been showing their creativity with arts and crafts, relaxing with some delicious drinks and enjoying a trip to the salon. Read on to see what else our residents have been up to this week.

Putting on a show

Lisburne Court residents, Audrey and Wendy, tickled the ivories this week by playing some of their favourite tunes on the home’s keyboard.

Pick a card, any card

Whilst some of the residents at Lisburne Court treated the team to some live piano performances, Jean and Ethel spent their afternoon playing cards with the ALFs (Activity and Lifestyle Facilitators).

A trip to the pub

The pub was officially open for business at Bamford Close! Residents gathered together for a pub-themed afternoon with beers, pub snacks, darts, singing and dancing, and a pub quiz too. Here’s Kathleen Connor with a delicious pint of Guinness.

Working on witch-crafts

With not long to go until Halloween, Bamford Close and Lisburne Court have been working on their seasonal displays. Bamford residents decorated their reception area with spooky paintings, whereas, over at Lisburne Court, residents have been decorating pumpkins with festive faces.

All glammed up

The ladies of Bamford Close took a trip to the in-house spa for a manicure. It was the perfect chance to catch up and gossip as you would in a salon! Check out best friends Marian Greenhalgh and Minnie Hammond showing off their new nails.

Bye for now!
