Over the last few weeks our homes have all have been getting ready for The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, and what an amazing job everyone has done! From our ALFs, managers and carers, to our amazing catering teams and housekeepers, and the residents themselves, everyone has been involved in creating lovely memories. Take a look below to see what some of our homes have been up to so far…
Bamford Close
Bamford had a busy day yesterday, starting with the Trooping of the Colour, then decorating a massive cake in honour of The Queen. They wanted to say a big thank you to Annabelle and her team who delivered and put together the fabulous balloon display.
Meadway Court
Meadway staff and residents enjoyed an afternoon tea and refreshments to celebrate the Queen yesterday. Chef Joanna has made some beautiful chocolate cupcakes, and the residents are waving their flags and listening to some party music to get into the Jubilee spirit.
Silverdale
Silverdale were already on Day Three of their Queen’s Jubilee celebrations yesterday, where residents enjoyed a beautiful Afternoon Tea. One of their amazing staff members, Alison, baked the most delicious cupcakes which residents had along with cucumber sandwiches, scones with clotted cream and jam and of course, an Elizabeth sponge cake. What an amazing spread!
Shepley House
Shepley House staff, residents and their families were invited to a local street party yesterday and had the best time celebrating as a community! Today, they enjoyed an amazing royal-themed afternoon team with scones, mini sandwiches and a Victoria sponge.
Lisburne Court
Lisburne Court had this incredible cake fit for a Queen made specially made and delivered for yesterday’s celebrations. It looked absolutely amazing!
Cawood
Cawood have put on an amazing garden party today, with lots of families here to enjoy with the residents. Residents are enjoying some refreshments in sunshine and there’s an incredible Corgi cake ready for afters! Local Councillors Andy Sorton and Kerry Waters popped in for the party and were complimentary about what a lovely home Cawood is.
Reinbek
The whole gang at Reinbek are having an outdoor party today, with buffet picnic and lots of drinks! They also arranged a very special meet up between 10 year old Teddie and 100 year old Clifford today – read more about their amazing chat here 💖
Hen Cloud House
Hen Cloud House have put on a magnificent spread today. Staff, residents and their loved ones have come together today to celebrate Her Majesty and enjoy the sunshine.
Bruce Lodge
Bruce Lodge have been celebrating the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee in style – spot our Head of Catering Tony! And just look at the amazing Afternoon Tea that Tony and his team laid on for the residents and their families.
