As part of its journey towards becoming a true ally to the LGBTQ+ community and receiving its Pride in Care accreditation, Borough Care is proud to have partnered with Stonewall, the charity which helps create transformative change in the lives of LGBTQ+ people in the UK.
My role is Senior Carer. I ensure the wellbeing of residents living with Dementia, making sure they are assisted with washing, dressing, and that they are comfortable. Each individual is treated with the utmost dignity and respect and we help to make every day the best it can be.
In October 2020, I started working on the Community Catalysts joint project with Borough Care. The principle of living ‘Life in Colour’ governs all the work the organisation does and this means that everyone in a Borough Care home should be enabled to live his or her best possible life, whatever their age, health or capabilities.
I am a Trainee Management Accountant, working as part of the Finance Team. I joined Borough Care in April 2020, so just over a year.
Borough Care has become the country’s largest residential care provider to receive a real living wage accreditation from the Real Living Wage Foundation, as part of its commitment to delivering a fair day’s pay for a hard day’s work.
