Despite us taking the necessary step of going into precautionary isolation at Borough Care, our staff pulled out all the stops to make sure our residents felt appreciated and cared for this Mother’s Day.
Our catering team created special menus across the homes, with delicious three course dinners, as well as some additional sweet treats including scones with fizz, and homemade cakes.
Our Activities and Lifestyle Facilitators put their hearts into decorating our homes and making it feel like a true celebration with music and activities; encouraging residents to get up and have a boogie!
We also did what we could to facilitate phone calls with relatives and Skype sessions on this special day.
We recognise that this isn’t the same as being able to be with your loved one on Mother’s Day, but we’re working hard to make sure life continues as normally as possible. Birthdays, anniversaries and special events like Mother’s Day do not go unmarked. All our ladies had a fabulous day on Sunday and hopefully the photos prove it!
Our dedicated carers and staff are doing their utmost to deliver the very best care to your loved ones and continue activities in the homes to make day to day life feel familiar, fun and safe.
