Sophie Rawlinson, Activity Lifestyle Facilitator at Borough Care’s Bruce Lodge home, has won her first charity boxing match in the first round.  Sophie, who had only been boxing for two months before her fight, triumphed by quickly knocking out her opponent.  The charity match took place at Bowlers Exhibition Centre in Manchester, the venue where Sophie practises.  Sophie raised over £500 for Alzheimer’s Society and the residents’ amenities fund at Bruce Lodge.

Commenting on her boxing match, Sophie Rawlinson says: “Knowing I was raising money for two great causes really spurred me on.  I was determined to win but didn’t expect my victory to happen quite so quickly.  I really enjoy boxing as a way to keep fit and loved participating in my first match.”
