Borough Care is a not-for-profit Community Benefit Society. This means that all our income and profits are reinvested for the benefit of our residents.
We have a board of Directors, who are responsible for:
Leading the organisation to ensure that it is properly run;
Developing a strategy, which enables every resident to live their Life in Colour;
Putting policies, plans and resources are in place to achieve the strategic objectives; and
Monitoring progress against those objectives
We operate a ‘combined board’ structure, which means that both executives (who are full-time employees of Borough Care) and non-executives (independent, part-time board members, who bring external expertise and experience) collectively lead and govern the organisation.
We are deeply committed to engaging our residents, families and staff, ensuring their views are heard and genuinely inform the approach that we take and the decisions we make.
We know that good corporate governance is essential for the organisation’s success, and the services we deliver are vital to the residents and families we serve. We work hard to provide a balanced, diverse and effective board, leading the organisation to deliver benefit to the communities that we serve, whilst complying with our legal obligations.
The day-to-day management of our operations is delegated to the Chief Executive and the Executive team.
